The Museo di Capodimonte is open every day except on Wednesday from 8.30 am to 7.30 pm.
Last admission to the museum is at 6.30 pm. The galleries begin to close from 7 pm.
On Friday opening from 8.30 am to 10.30 pm (last admission at 9.30 pm)
The Museo di Capodimonte is closed: every Wednesday, the 1st of January and 25th of December.
On 24th of December and on the 31th, the museum will be opened to the public during the following hours: 8.30am-2pm.
The ticket office will close one hour before the closure.

OBJECTS ON LOAN
The Museum of Capodimonte collaborates with other museums and cultural institutions, nationally and internationally, to the realization of art exhibitions. The lending of artworks and exchange relationships between institutions increase the value of the museum and provide a platform through which is possible to attract the interest and support for projects and initiatives, helping to raise awareness in the world of the Museum of Capodimonte as a notable center for visual arts, with a prestigious permanent collection.
To enhance the experience of visiting the Museum, we invite you therefore to read the list of the objects on loan, to check in advance if the artwork to which you are particularly interested in is out for exhibitions.
The list takes into account both those artworks usually included throughout the exhibition and the artworks in storage.
Additionally, the dates indicated refer to the duration of various exhibitions, not including the necessary time required for preparation, transport and mounting of the objects from and to the Museum of Capodimonte.

The Museo e Real Bosco di Capodimonte has elaborated a simplified procedure concerning the requests for a fair use of the pictures related to the Museum’s properties and works of art.
Taking pictures of the State’s properties legally require an authorisation from the Museo di Capodimonte. Apart from a strictly personal use of the pictures – for personal enjoyment or study – the use and possession of pictures require the payment of a charge.

CAPODIMONTE IS A PARK
Thanks to the climate and centuries of careful planting by distinguished botanists, the park contains many rare and exotic specimens.You will see camphor trees and camelias from Asia, magnolias and cypresses from the Americas and eucalyptus from Australia.
Within the Park there are a further 16 historic buildings including residences, lodges, churches as well as fountains, statues, orchards and woods.
